I began my career by obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from a Thai university. After graduation, I took an unfulfilling job and soon decided to do something drastic. I decided to migrate to the U.S. and take care of children; first as an Au pair and then as a nanny. From very early on I realized that I had found my true passion and wanted to become an early childhood educator as my profession. I loved taking care of children as an Au Pair and nanny, but my ultimate goal was not just to take care of them. I wanted to teach them and guide them as an educator in a classroom environment. Once I realized I had discovered my true calling I decided to go back to college, this time to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.
After much thought and reflection I realized my ultimate goal when I finished my early childhood degree was to be a preschool teacher. I want to help children learn while challenging them, guiding them, acting as a role model, and keep them entertained. Creating and implementing appropriate learning tools for children is also a thrill for me. I get satisfaction out of seeing something that I create carried out in real life. Ultimately, I want to give children a good foundation for their lives with their education. I want to be a source of positivity in their lives, and help them grow up to be a successful and healthy adult.
I also strongly understand the nature of children and know what children need due to my many years of experience and coursework. I will work hard with my colleagues to create and evaluate my student’s learning and development. Working independently is an important skill that I have but I also work well and understand the importance of working together as a team. It all comes down to me knowing in my heart that children are my passion and knowing I’ll flourish in a field where I love the subject, have extensive knowledge, training, and experience.
